Jacob's Eagle Scout Project

Jacob has been approved for his Eagle Scout Project. We need your help! He is collecting winter clothing to give to Salvation Army (ie:scarfs, hats, gloves, coats, sweaters, sweat shirts, long pants, long sleeved shirts). All sizes are needed. This clothing will then be distributed to families in need. As you go through your children's clothing; consider donating it to Jacob's project. Anything will help and we can pick it up. We are trying to be done collecting by next Wed. Stay tuned for John & Tony's Eagle project coming up soon...

My little BROTHER

This is my little brother, Clint! Clint is an amazing man. I love him very much, and although I am the oldest (and he is the baby) I look up to him in many ways; He is a caring brother, his is an incredible son, he is an amazingly patient father, he is an attentive husband. Clint is fiercly loyal to his friends and his family. He has a strong testimony. He has a great sense of humor. He is humble and loving. And I am proud that he is my brother! I love you Clint!!!!

Other cool facts about Clint: He is an Eagle Scout, he has a BA in Psycology, and a Masters in Social Work, he is a Dawg of War, he was on a commercial, and he survive a childhood with 3 crazy sisters who used him as a doll! (Sorry Clint, obviously didn't scar you too much...I hope!) Love ya Bro!

1st day of school 2009-2010

The craziness begins! Jacob had a seminary breakfast at 6 am. We got there and he realized that I had not told him what class room he was suppose to be in for 1st period.

As I got home, Chris was just leaving to take Taylor, John & Tony to school. Since Taylor and Tony weren't ready earlier I made them jump out of the car for their picture!

This is Rachel's "real" 1st day of school picture! Rachel wasn't ready at 5:45 for first pose either so I got her just before leaving.

Rachel being silly for the first shot!

I am going to miss summer...I don't like early mornings, or early bed times...but I guess routine is good and this summer we have not had much of a routine at all, so I guess I am glad for routine...even if means I go to bed early and wake up early.

On our way home...

On our way home from Utah last weekend we stopped at my Grandma's in Centerfield. This is the first time I have been there. She has a nice little place in and the town seems very quaint. Here we are posing for a picture

Celebration: Lonnie

The road trip I took was up to Utah, this time it was for a suprise birthday party for my cousin Lonnie. Laura told me that there were over 80 people there to help celebrate with Lonnie. I hope he had a good time! Lonnie is very loved!

Kelly wants a hug from Ashley!

Torri gets a big hug from Dawn.

Lonnie hangin' out with us!

The party was at Travis & Kelly's house. They have a big beautiful backyard. James said as we got there, "this is a park!" Obviously, that is huge compliment coming from a 3 yr. old

Moving to slow

I am moving slow and am behind on my blogging...Last weekend I took a road trip with Dawn & her 3 little ones...Oh my oh my! I had forgotten how challenging it can be to keep little ones entertained on a 5-6 hour road trip. On the way up it wasn't too hard, they fell asleep after St. George but on the way back...forget about it! They were charged up, they had had a fun filled weekend but they had gotten a good nights sleep...and sitting in carseats within arms reach of each other was NOT what they wanted to be doing! Ashley asks for more drink...more drink means more stops to go potty....oh man on man....
James knows how to give me a smile!

Those are some cutie pies right there!

Yep...more drinks...more stops to go potty!
Honestly they were good...especially when i finally made they get in their tents (I put each of their blankets over their car seats...it help them from bugging each other & fall asleep)!

Does the ER give frequent flyer miles?

I haven't blogged for awhile because I just have not felt that great. 3 weeks ago I made Chris take me to the ER because I was having another gall bladder attack. This one lasted from about 2 am until they finally got me on drugs around 7 am. Needless to say when the Dr. suggested removing now rather than later, I was onboard! So they scheduled me for surgery at 6pm. The Dr. said everything was pretty routine, my gall bladder was not infected just inflammed and I had A LOT of gall stones. I took of work until the following Monday. That day (Monday) was the worst! I have never in my life had as much pain as I did that evening when I got home. I was suppose the feed the Missionaries but all I could do was fall into bed and wait for the pain pills to kick in. Everyday I feel a little better but I am still not great. Maybe I needed that gall bladder after all.
On the Sat. after my surgery, I went to pick up the girls, just getting back from girls camp. I notice that Taylor is walking on the side of her foot and limping. She had hit her middle toe on a rock the first day of girls camp. Her toe was swollen and VERY bruised! Chris took her to the ER. Thankfully it was just sprained (Although I don't think they do much for broken toes anyway), she was given a boot to wear for 3 days. Her toe is still slightly bruised but doing better as long as she doesn't bump it on anything.
Then last Wed. Chris dropped Jacob off at the house after Mutual and he comes hopping in the house. He had rolled his ankle on a soccer ball and couldn't walk on it. So off we went to the ER. The funny part about that trip was the radiology techs flirting with Jacob. He had only sprained it but has to stay off of it for 10 days. Now keeping him down is not easy!!!
So don't you think we deserve a punch card...buy 2 get one free...or frequent flyer miles or something?
